Acts 12 - Peter Escapes and James Does Not

Peter's Arrest and the Church's Response: Following James's death, Peter is arrested and imprisoned, destined for execution. The early church gathers in fervent prayer, demonstrating their faith in God's ability to intervene. 

The Miraculous Escape: Peter's chains fall off, and he is led out of prison by an angel, passing undetected by guards. This miraculous escape highlights God's power over earthly authorities and the effectiveness of collective prayer. 

Herod's Downfall: After failing to execute Peter, Herod relocates to Caesarea, where he is struck down by an angel for accepting blasphemous praise. His gruesome death serves as a reminder of the dangers of pride and failing to honor God.
