I have a physical disability, one that has progressed over many years. The years of having a shorter leg, has taken its toll. In my youth no one was the wiser. And sometimes I did foolish things to compound the problem.

Physical pain, has been my grist to make a pearl. I have embraced the pain and the discomfort as my lot in life. To make a pearl of Love in my heart for the hurting.

Something I tried to escape for 20 years. Pain is a cruel task master, if it is allowed to rule in one’s life.

Chasing another pain pill, or another fentanyl patch. I spent 5 years drinking pretty heavily to shake the opioids. Then i quit drinking and feeling sorry for myself.

I tell you that not boast, but to tell you how good God is to rake me out of the coals. To set me upright again.
