“See the heavenly courtroom: the Father as Judge, the Son as Mediator, and the Spirit as Enforcer. Jesus Christ, our Mediator, is both our defense attorney and our guarantee. He has reconciled us to the Father and secured every covenant promise with His blood.”

🎥 Teaching Script: Jesus the Son as Mediator

Introduction (Hook)

“In every courtroom, there’s someone who stands between the accused and the Judge, an advocate, a mediator. In the heavenly courtroom, that role belongs to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is the Mediator of the New Covenant, the one who stands in the gap for us, defending us by His blood and guaranteeing our inheritance.”

Point 1: Jesus the Mediator Defined

· Role: Mediator, Advocate, Surety

· Teaching:“1 Timothy 2:5 says, ‘There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.’ A mediator is someone who bridges the gap. We could never approach the Judge on our own, but Jesus makes that possible. He stands between God and humanity, reconciling us to the Father.”

Point 2: The Scriptural Foundation of His Mediation

· Teaching:

o Hebrews 9:15 – “Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.”

o Hebrews 7:22 – “Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant.”

o 1 John 2:1 – “We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.”“These verses show us that Jesus is not only the mediator but also the guarantor, the one who personally guarantees the covenant’s success.”Jesus is the One who ‘signs off’ on the new contract we have in His Blood.

Point 3: How Jesus Mediates the Covenant

· Teaching:“Jesus mediates the covenant through His blood. Hebrews 12:24 calls Him ‘the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.’ His blood is the legal evidence that our sins are forgiven. His resurrection is the guarantee that death has no claim over us. He pleads our case, not with arguments, but with His sacrifice.”

Point 4: Jesus as Our Advocate and Defender

· Teaching:“In a courtroom, the defense attorney speaks on behalf of the accused. That’s exactly what Jesus does for us. Romans 8:34 says, ‘Christ Jesus who died, more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.’ Right now, in heaven, Jesus is actively defending you, ensuring that the covenant is upheld on your behalf.”

Application (Takeaway)

“What does this mean for us? It means you never stand alone in the courtroom of heaven. When accusations come, from the enemy, from people, even from your own conscience, your Mediator speaks a better word. His blood has already secured your forgiveness, His advocacy has already secured your place, and His guarantee ensures your inheritance.”

Closing (Call to Action)
