Cracker Barrel announced on August 26, 2025, that it will scrap its new, simplified logo and revert to its classic "Old Timer" logo featuring a man leaning on a barrel. The reversal follows widespread backlash from customers and a drop in the company's stock price after the new design was unveiled on August 19.
The change back to the old logo is a direct response to customer feedback. In a statement, the company said: "We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our 'Old Timer' will remain". The "Old Timer" figure represents Uncle Herschel, the uncle of Cracker Barrel's founder, and has been a staple of the brand since 1977
