A tragic scene unfolded on Wednesday, August 27, during a back-to-school Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. According to police, 23-year-old Robin Westman opened fire through the stained glass windows using a rifle, shotgun, and pistol, killing two children (ages 8 and 10) and injuring 17 others—14 of whom were children.

Authorities report the shooter fatally turned the gun on himself behind the church. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara described the act as a deliberate and incomprehensible attack on innocent worshippers during a moment meant for celebration and community

Investigators are also examining disturbing YouTube videos posted by the suspect hours before the attack, which may indicate a possible manifesto or intent
