Turkey Tail

The Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) is a fungus/mushroom belonging to the Polyporaceae Family that grows on the trunks, stumps, and logs of dead hardwood trees from May to December. Turkey Tail mushrooms have concentric patterns that vary in color and include brown, white, gray, black, and reddish brown. Turkey Tail mushrooms can be found worldwide and are also known as Many-Colored Polypore, and Many-Zoned Polypore.
