New Area 419 S-Series Sizing Die - Let's Get My Shoulder Bump Set!

Now that I have installed my new barrel and fired some of my match Alpha brass, it is time to set the shoulder bump with my new Area419 S-Series Sizing Die. I was very excited when I got the die and had to show it off, but I could not properly set the depth of the die in the press at that time. Best to check with brass fired in the chamber that will be used.
Of course, as shown here, this chamber is giving me about the exact same brass growth at the neck, so I probably could have done this at that time and been okay, lol. But it was smart to wait, just in case they were different by a few thousandths.
I took measurements of brass with my RCBS MIC tool, and using that I know when I get the depth of my die lowered the proper amount to give me a few thou of pushback on the neck. Benefit of match barrel and chamber, I only have to push back about .002" on average! Good for brass life since I am not working it a lot. Though I do anneal every time, I still like having minimal work done when possible.
One thing I notice on this Area419 die, there are no markings on the exterior to use as a reference when setting. I ended up making a small sharpie mark on the die and my press to know how much adjustment I was making, and that little change let me get my preferred depth set!
I think from what I am seeing on this first sizing, I should be good!!
I still need to load and test this since the neck tension seems to be just a little tighter. Like, .0005 at most, but that is enough to change pressure and thus my muzzle velocity. As long as I still have good groups, I will likely just keep things as they are and run it!
Let me know if you want to see anything else with this die, I will be happy to show it off more! It is really awesome so far.
