Authors of The Resistance is amplifying the call for justice for Alexa, a transgender woman in Michigan detained by U.S. ICE Customs.

Alexa’s detention is not just a personal crisis, it is a reflection of the systemic violence and discrimination that trans and immigrant communities face daily. No one should be subjected to inhumane treatment, targeted because of their identity, or denied dignity and safety.

Every act of detention rooted in transphobia and xenophobia sends a dangerous message that some lives are disposable. We reject that message.

We stand with Alexa, demanding her release, transparency in her case, and an end to the harmful practices that criminalize trans and immigrant lives. Her life matters. Her freedom matters. We will not be silent.
