The Division 2: Why I Won't Do Build Videos & Why You Shouldn't Chase Them

Most Division 2 content creators pump out build videos — “Best DPS Build,” “Immortal Tank,” “Melts Everything.”
But I don’t make build content, and in this video I explain why.

Build videos might get clicks, but they rarely make you a better player. Copying someone else’s gear won’t fix your survivability or your gameplay. In this long-form essay, I break down:
- Why build videos are misleading
- What players actually need to succeed in The Division 2
- The problems with chasing meta builds
- Why knowledge, playstyle, and mastery matter more than stats
- What I focus on instead to help you become a better player

This isn’t a rant — it’s my honest philosophy on why I don’t do build videos, and why I’d rather teach principles that last beyond patches, nerfs, or the latest YouTube thumbnail.

👊 Don’t chase builds. Chase mastery.
