Cajun Smashburgers with Bruce Mitchell | Blackstone Griddles
Bruce Mitchell is serving up a loaded Cajun smash burger stacked with double patties, sausage, cheese, and his own zesty sauce. With bold flavors and Blackstone Cajun seasoning, this bayou-inspired burger is as good as it gets. Pull up a chair and taste what the Alligator Man is cooking.

Ingredients
6 beef patties (smash style, ~3 oz each)
6 slices American cheese
3 buns
Smoked sausage
Gator pickles (or any spicy pickles)
Cajun sauce:
3 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 tbsp sweet relish
1 tsp Blackstone Cajun seasoning (or Cajun seasoning of choice)
1 tsp Whiskey Burger seasoning (optional)
Optional Garnish
Sautéed onions, bell peppers, and celery (the Cajun “Holy Trinity”)
Directions
1. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, Cajun seasoning, and whiskey burger seasoning in a bowl to make the sauce and set aside.
2. Slice smoked sausage on a slight angle into pieces that will fit on the burger.
3. Heat your griddle or skillet on medium-high and add a light layer of oil.
4. Place the beef patties on the hot surface and smash them thin with a spatula. Season lightly with Cajun seasoning, cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, and add cheese after flipping.
5. While the burgers cook, add the sausage slices to the griddle and cook until browned.
6. Butter the buns and toast until golden.
7. Spread sauce on the bottom bun, add one cheesy patty, stack another patty on top, and place a piece of smoked sausage over the patties.
8. Add pickles, more sauce, and optional sautéed onions, bell peppers, and celery.
9. Finish with the top bun and serve hot.
