Washington’s new “green” ferry already broke down

Washington’s “crown jewel” ferry upgrade is already a lemon. The Wenatchee, freshly converted into a hybrid-electric ferry, broke down just weeks into service. Two of its four drive motors failed, leaving passengers stranded and taxpayers holding the bill.

This isn’t modernization — it’s political virtue-signaling that puts optics above function. Riders just want ferries that work. Instead, progressives delivered another expensive failure.
