Posted • August 28, 2025: On July 17, 2025, a violent attempted robbery at Al-Amira Jewelry in Anaheim was thwarted when the store owner fired a single warning shot, prompting nearly twenty masked individuals to flee the scene. The incident occurred just before closing time when five vehicles arrived and a large group, armed with sledgehammers and pickaxes, stormed the storefront. Surveillance footage shows the moment the suspects began breaking the store’s glass exterior. Inside, the owner and employees, including family members, took cover behind the counter. As the suspects continued their attack, the owner discharged one round into the air. No one was struck or injured. The suspects immediately retreated and fled in multiple vehicles.
