Our Lady of Banneux (Virgin of the Poor) 1933

The Marian apparitions at Banneux, Belgium, are a series of eight apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to an 11-year-old girl named Mariette Beco. They took place between January 15 and March 2, 1933, during a time of social and political unrest, just after the apparitions at nearby Beauraing.

The shrine at Banneux has since become a major center of pilgrimage for the sick and those in need. The apparitions at Banneux remind us of the Blessed Virgin Mary and God's unceasing love and care for the sick and the vulnerable.
