Cracker Barrel CEO says MAGA Doest Have to Eat Here

Cracker Barrel faced widespread criticism for unveiling a new minimalist logo that removed its traditional mascot, Uncle Herschel, leading to accusations of abandoning its heritage.

In response to public pressure, the company reversed course and announced it would retain the original logo elements.

Critics, including activists and media commentators, have accused Masino of pushing a progressive agenda, citing the company's past sponsorship of Pride events, partnerships with LGBTQ+ organizations like the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), internal DEI training programs, and employee resource groups.

Some employees have also expressed dissatisfaction with management, citing reduced hours and declining food quality.

Cracker Barrel’s co-founder, Tommy Lowe, recently criticized the rebranding, stating the company should focus on food and service rather than changing its iconic logo, and questioned Masino’s background, noting she previously worked at Taco Bell.
