Note: What do you know, an awesome "Thumbs Up" episode of "Siskel & Ebert!"

Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert reviews "Mad Dog and Glory" (An underrated Offbeat Romantic Crime Comedy from "Henry: Portrait of the Serial Killer" director, John McNaughton. Starring: Robert De Niro, Bill Murray, Uma Thurman and David Caruso.); "El Mariachi" (Robert Rodriguez's Feature Film Debut as a writer, producer and director of an incredible Spanish Action film that's also part of the trilogy with "Desperado" and "Once Upon A Time in Mexico". A story of a young mariachi who comes to Mexico for a job until he was in a case of mistaken identity by a drug lord and a hired killer with a guitar case filled with machine guns! Excellent film and it was shot on a shoe string budget with amazing camera techniques and editing on one!); "Rich in Love" and "The Last Days of Chez Nous".

Also a Special Report where Siskel does an interview with writer/director, Neil Jordan talking about his film, "The Crying Game" hoping for a predication if it wins the Oscar and his previous works.

Laserdisc Pick of the Month: Siskel's pick on Laserdisc is "Light Sleeper" (Paul Schrader's mesmerizing romantic crime drama. Starring: Willem Dafoe and Susan Sarandon.) And a recap of Today's program.

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
