25LHDVD08-02 Richard Tate - Who Is The Holy Spirit?

“God the Father ordains stuff, Jesus speaks it and the Holy Spirit does it.” Richard shares some of the things the Holy Spirit is. 1) Mt 1:18 He is the one that impregnated Mary, the mother of Jesus. 2) He’s the counselor. 3) He’s the Spirit of Truth. 4) Your body is His temple. He lives there. Where we go He has to go. That doesn’t mean He’s going to partake of what we sometimes do, but He’s going to be there. Don’t grieve Him. He has feelings. 5) He’s our ernest, our down payment of what’s coming for us. 6) All the fruit are in Him. They all come from Him. He is here to make us holy, to make us like Jesus. We think we want a little freedom, but He says, “You’ve got freedom. You’re free from eternal damnation. You’re free from sin.” He’s not a task master. He wants to work with us. It’s a learning experience to walk with the Spirit. This teaching takes us deeper than who the Holy Spirit is and right into the very heart of God. He’s looking to have a people who can show this world what holy living really is. It all has to do with the heart, obedience, being faithful and fulfilling God’s will for your life. It may not be anything exciting, nor give you a big name, but give it your all, help people, and love God. Many years ago, Richard said the Lord said to him, “Why don’t you trust Me?” Richard answered, “Because I trusted people most of my life and they burned me.” Might that not be a similar experience for many of us? Pursue Him with your whole heart and you will learn to trust Him.
