1962 Indo-China War | Brief History of Sino-Indian War of 1962

October 1962, all eyes of the world were on the Cuban Missile Crisis that broke out between the Soviet Union and the USA. On one hand, the threat of third world war was looming in the whole world due to the conflict between two superpowers...on the other hand, a war had also broken out between India and China in Southeast Asia.

Chinese President Mao Zedong had openly said that you will wave the gun, and I will wave the gun. We will stand face to face and both will show their courage. Just a few months after this statement, a war broke out… which was neither announced nor imagined by India.

Thousands of Chinese soldiers were standing in front of a few Indian soldiers in the biting cold on the high hills of Aksai Chin. Indian soldiers had neither bullets nor air support. But these brave warriors of India were full of courage and morale, that is why the Indian soldiers fought till their last breath with the determination to win this war and were martyred to protect the soil of India.
