The made in China AC adapter– Hidden Hazards Exposed
I bought a $20 “Made in China” AC adapter. Within two years, it stopped working. Curious, I opened it—and found adhesive tape where proper insulation should have been. This isn’t just cheap corner-cutting; it’s planned fragility, a design that hides hazards from unsuspecting consumers.
In this video, I use sunlight to reveal the interior flaws and explain why these seemingly minor defects can scale to life-critical products, like PPE during a pandemic. When cheap, corner-cut products flow from a totalitarian regime like China to the world, they can become potential hazards and even weapons, affecting human life on a global scale.
We explore:
How planned fragility works
Hidden dangers in everyday electronics
Implications for PPE safety
Why cheap “Made in China” products are a systemic risk
