He met Luffy at Impel Down, fought with him in Marineford, and even helped him heal on Amazon Lily after Ace’s death. And during the entire two-year timeskip, Jinbe couldn’t stop talking about Luffy to the Sun Pirates. Was Jinbe already carrying himself like part of the crew before it was ever official?
