Tekashi 69 vs. Young Thug: Snitching Has the Same Rules as the N-Word 🐀🎤

Tekashi 69 got dragged through the mud for snitching—his entire career branded with the “rat” label. Yet now that Young Thug faces similar accusations, the backlash is almost silent. Why? Because hip-hop culture has double standards.

Just like the N-word—where Black people can say it freely but nobody else can—snitching has its own cultural “rulebook.” If you’re Black, it’s overlooked or excused. If you’re not, like 69, you’ll never be forgiven.

Tekashi has to face the reality: he’s embraced when he contributes to the culture, but the moment he calls out hypocrisy, he’s reminded he isn’t Black enough to speak on it. That’s the double standard he’ll have to accept.
