Can Brian Norman Overcome Devin Haney's Championship Experience?

Devin Haney can become a 3-division champion in a 6-year span. Devin became the WBC Lightweight champ in 2019 after being elevated to full WBC Championship status.

Since then, Devin has either defended his titles or fought for the titles/titles. Now Devin Haney has his sights on Brian Norman Jr's WBO welterweight strap. Back in 2019, when Haney 1st became WBC champion, Brian Norman Jr was still a prospect.

Fast-forward to 2025. On paper, Brian Norman Jr. is facing his most formidable fighter yet. Many are not giving Brian Norman a shot. Greg Hackett said Devin is going to beat Norman Jr easily.

I've heard that Devin's footwork is superior. I've listened to about Devin being more athletic. I've heard about Devin having the superior jab over Norman: better ring IQ and awareness.

I've been hearing Brian Norman Jr. doesn't stand a chance, and he should be happy just to be in the ring with Devin. According to Haney fans, the outcome is foregone.

Brendan Taylor of Tru School Sports revealed that if Devin Haney beats Brian Norman Jr, Devin will become the 10th fighter in history to become a welterweight champion after being a lightweight champion.
