More than 800 dead as Afghanistan earthquake reduces homes to rubble

One of Afghanistan's worst earthquakes killed hundreds of people and injured thousands, authorities said on Monday (September 1), as helicopters ferried the wounded to hospital after they were plucked from the rubble of homes being combed for survivors.
