TheVespor and Ramsis give full review of an early season 1 episode of the tv show 'The Dukes of Hazzard' that debuted in January of 1979 on the CBS Network. This is the episode where they decided it would be more cost effective to move the show out of location shooting in Georgia and film it fully for the next 7 years in Los Angeles on the WB Studio Lot and closeby locations.

We picked this episode to see how well (or not well) things hold up giving the show that authentic southern feel eve though we are not in the South anymore.

The episode is called Swamp Molly and it's definitely NOT one of the better episodes. In fact this episode is a bottle show meaning they cut costs and did a lot of time fillers to take up most of this episode. You get one epic explosion to start the episode and it's all downhill from there. But still a great way to see what our new backgrounds and feel are going to be moving forward for the show. The good news is, it definitely gets better from here. The bad news, we're off to a rocky start in California, that's for sure.
