There’s a mark I carry with me, etched not just on my skin, but on my spirit.

I see it everyday, it’s become part of me & will remain with me as a silent witness forever.

We all carry marks, some you can see, some you can’t.

How you move forward and use that experience will be your greatest legacy.

I am no longer the woman I was when this mark first appeared - but I have refused to make it harden my heart or change the parts of me that I am really proud of.

Sometimes the marks are nothing to do with us, and thats a whole other lesson we learn along the way.
