One of Afghanistan's worst earthquakes has killed more than 800 people, most of whom were in the northeastern Kunar province.
The epicentre was near the eastern city of Jalalabad with a magnitude of six from a shallow depth.
Extensive damage is being reported, and rescuers are struggling to reach the remote mountainous area, which is cut off from mobile networks.

Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Jamjoom reports.
