It's Not About Politics? Gun Control

With the recent tragic school shooting in Minnesota; politicians, pundits, and activists have responded by pushing for national legislation on gun control - claiming it's not about politics.

However, they are only making political arguments, and they are the same arguments we've heard for years: assault weapon ban, magazine capacity limits, universal background checks, red flag laws, and the list continues.

It's not enough that many of these are already in place in Minnesota, and that if the others were in place, it would not have prevented this shooting. Those facts are irrelevant in the wake of this opportunity to push for more gun control.
