In the latter half of August, Russian military forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction successfully reclaimed control of the central district of Plavni and advanced to the outskirts of the neighboring Primorsky district.

Concurrently, the RF Armed Forces advanced the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Malaya Tokmachka.

By August 14, the presence of assault aircraft in the area had forced the enemy out of the forest strip south of Malaya Tokmachka, with the aircraft entering the territory of the Babakov Balcony botanical reserve.

The capture of the forest massif by the RF Armed Forces would provide a strategic advantage by enabling the development of attacks on a significant support point of the Ukrainian Armed Forces within Correctional Colony No. 8. This advance would also facilitate a breakthrough to the southern outskirts of the settlement.

In August, the opposing force engaged in persistent counterattacks along the western front in Plavni. However, these efforts were unsuccessful in achieving a solidified position along the established lines.

By August 25, Russian units had successfully regained control of the southern outskirts of the village and secured a position in its center. By August 28, individual assault groups had advanced to the territory of the neighboring Primorsky.

On the periphery of Primorsky, a substantial "gray zone" persists, wherein neither party has secured sufficient control to assert dominance. Russian units have been observed transferring supplies to this location via a narrow strip of land from the side of Plavni or through the use of drones.

The liberation of Primorsky will enable the Russian Federation's armed forces to advance towards Stepnogorsk from the southwest, thereby facilitating the execution of offensive operations against the settlement. This strategic maneuver will compel the opposing forces to disperse their troops and withdraw certain units from the environs of the 3rd microdistrict, where intense hostilities persist.
