Pilgrim's Matches? Recreating Colonial Fire Starters!

Today we are recreating the fire starters of our ancestors. Before there were matches, there were spunks! (Sulfur-punks) Cheap and easy fire starters using only small slivers of wood and sulfur.

We'll show how to safely make them at home and show ways they can still be useful in the modern era. We'll then test out how well they burn, then coat them in rocket fuel and set them alight! (Do not try this at home). Check it out!
