The Last of Us Season 3 is going to be years away from release and perhaps that's a good thing. Giving the audience enough time to wash the bad taste of season 2 out of their mouths will be to its benefit, but when you don't know what you are doing with the next season, but claim to have ideas for a follow up, you aren't in a good place.
