Standing Abduction (side leg lift) Cable Machine

At some point we need to take abduction work (outer thigh) to a standing position. Make sure that the toe, the knee, and the front of the moving leg faces front. Once you start rotating this all to the ceiling you are working a different area. The standing leg will be taking the beating because it is in an isometric contraction. Make sure you stretch a bit before going to the other leg. This is a great exercise if you are dealing with low back, hip, knee or ankle pain. It is not the only place to work but needs to be included.
If this is causing back pain, head to my website to schedule a zoom or an in-person assessment. www.vitalityforlifebychristi.com
