Random, violent attack shocks small Canadian city

Two innocent residents of Campbell River were viciously, and randomly, attacked in broad daylight during a recent visit to downtown Courtenay.

Why was the alleged assailant, a repeat offender with a history of violence, allowed to walk free?

And when will we, as a society, stop coddling criminals and put the safety of the public first.
