September Suddenlies, Shifts & Surge: Walking in Authority

Good morning, Church. In the message I delivered recently I stood with you in the quiet before September and brought a prophetic calling: we are entering a birthing season. This is a season of sudden shift, sudden surge, and a fresh outpouring of God’s power. I want to walk you through what I saw, what I heard, and how every one of us can step into the authority God has given us—right now—so fear loses its foothold and God’s light dispels the darkness.

September: Labor, Birthing, and the Sudden Shift

We’ve been in labor all year—and now, as the calendar turns to the ninth month, there is birthing energy on the earth. Spiritually, September corresponds with Elul, the month of preparation before the fall feasts. In Hebraic practice many proclaim Psalm 27 daily and blow the shofar. There is a readiness in heaven to release the promises you have been contending for.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid?

Let that land in you. The Lord is your light. He is your salvation. He is your fortress. When that truth becomes living inside you, fear loses its legitimacy. You are not only a spectator of God’s victory; you are a participant. We aren’t just waiting for the victory—we already own it and now we will experience it.

The Spirit Not Given: Understanding and Overcoming Fear

Listen carefully: fear is not merely a feeling or an emotion—Scripture names it as a spirit. In 2 Timothy 1:7 we read that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. That means fear is an intrusion from the enemy; it is not from the Father.

Because fear is a spirit, it must be dealt with spiritually. You cannot purely “wish it away.” You must use your spiritual authority, activated by your voice in the name of Jesus Christ.

Do not tolerate that presence in your life. If you will refuse to accommodate or agree with that spirit, Jesus says it must flee. That is how we are commanded to fight—by speaking with authority and by calling on the power God has placed within us.

Voice-Activated Kingdom: How to Use Your Authority

We live in a voice-activated kingdom. God said, “Let there be light,” and light came. Scripture shows that creation obeys the word of the redeemed. Your mouth is a weapon—use it.

Here are simple, practical steps you can do right now when you feel fear, oppression, or spiritual attack:

Speak out loud: Don’t only think it—say it. When you declare God’s truth with your lips, heaven responds and darkness must obey.
Address the spirit, not the person: Speak to the fear, the oppression, the anxiety—“In the name of Jesus, I command this spirit of fear to go. Leave now.”
Use Scripture: Declare Psalm 27, declare 2 Timothy 1:7, declare the victory of Christ over your life.
Command in Jesus’ name: Speak with the authority Jesus gave you—“In the name of Jesus, get out.”
Fill the vacuum: Don’t leave the place vacant. Declare the presence of the Holy Spirit—“Holy Spirit, fill me with power, love, and a sound mind.”

I remember a woman at a business event—new to faith—confessing, “I know it will work, but I’m so afraid.” I spoke to her fear, not to her, and in Jesus’ name commanded the spirit to leave. She fell under the power, rose delivered and free. This is not showmanship. This is Scripture at work.

Real Encounters: Nephilim, Witchcraft, and Cleansing Ground

We do not live in theory only—we have real encounters with darkness. I’ve smelled and seen Leviathan-like oppression rip through a space. At a concert a witch attempted to cast things onto the ground; we rebuked her and the activity stopped. At an airport and even in my kitchen we encountered oppressive, Nephilim-like presences that vanished when we spoke the Name. These encounters teach us two things:

Darkness recognizes authority; when you speak the name of Jesus, demonic activity is forced to obey.
New believers often receive deliverance faster because they aren’t yet entangled in religion; their faith is raw and simple, and God uses it.

Don’t be afraid of naming what you encounter. Call it by what it is; command it to go. Cleanse the ground of honor for wicked work. The enemy’s schemes are exposed by light—and when the light comes, the darkness will recoil.

A Call Back to Presence and Sound Doctrine

We must also be discerning about spiritual sources. The Lord warned against substituting prophets, personalities, or “feel-good” revivals for Him. Be careful of charismatic witchcraft disguised as ministry—seek the presence of God and the pure Word of God rather than signs alone.

Repent. Humble yourself. Bend your knee. The kingdom is not primarily about experiences; it’s about relationship with Christ. Seek the Lord first—He will provide both the word and the confirmation you need.

Intercession for Nations and the Seven Mountains

We interceded for the governments of Canada and the United States. We prayed for protection over leaders and called down a hedge of protection. Rumors circulate—do not agree with lies. Words have power. Speak life. Refuse to prophesy death over leaders; instead call for God’s mercy, favor, and protection.

We were also called to pull down mountain strongholds that have shaped culture and corrupted identity:

Religion that binds rather than frees
Family structures that have been attacked by cultural lies
Education systems that are deceiving children
Government systems infected by Leviathan and Jezebel spirits
The economy and financial systems that need restoration
Arts and entertainment culture that pours darkness into society
Sports and other influential platforms used for ungodly narratives

We must pray and act to restore righteousness to each mountain. Part of that work includes standing for children in schools—asking God to place a hedge around every classroom, to revive campuses, and to pour out conviction on those who would dishonor or harm children.

We also prayed for those trapped by identity confusion and called on the Holy Spirit to restore the fullness of God’s image to them—gentle, loving, and in the power of the Gospel to set people free to walk in their true identity.

Practical, Daily Ways to Walk in Your Authority

How do you move from conviction to practice? Here are things you can put into daily rhythm:

Proclaim Psalm 27 each morning: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; why should I be afraid?”
Speak out declarations: “Grace and favor follow me,” “My mercies are new every morning,” “I will not tolerate fear or oppression in my life.”
Blow the shofar or make a sound of proclamation as a spiritual act of breaking yokes.
When attacked, speak to the spirit in Jesus’ name: “By the blood of Jesus, I bind you. In Jesus’ name, leave now.”
Draw lines by refusing to agree with lies—refuse agreement with rumors and fear-driven talk.
Partner with other believers—authority is best exercised in community and prayer teams.
The Great Shaking: Expect Exposure—and Hold Fast

We are entering a season of great shaking. The Lord is shaking everything that can be shaken so that what cannot be shaken will remain. This looks violent on a natural level—but spiritually it is purification. Expect exposures: false teachers, corrupt leaders, and wicked structures will be revealed.

Do not be surprised when the darkness fights back. It will scream and attempt to intimidate. God’s purpose is not to harm His people but to refine His bride and to uproot what has stolen blessing and life. Stand firm. You were made for such a time as this. When the shaking comes, you will be the unshakable one because you have been rooted in the Word and in the authority of Christ.

Final Encouragement

Stand in the confidence that God has given you a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Open your mouth. Speak truth. When you do, angels come to your assistance and darkness obeys. This is not spiritual bravado—it’s the practical application of Scripture in real life. We have seen it work. We have seen chains fall off. We have seen dark presences vanish. Now it’s time to move together into the birthing season.

We are not spectators. We are co-laborers with God’s army of heaven. As we sound the shofar and call for a surge of God’s power, stand ready to partner with angels, to pray boldly for your communities, and to declare righteousness across the mountains of influence.

We will see restoration—in our families, in our schools, in our governments, and in our economy. We will watch favor follow us and witnesses come to faith as we operate in boldness. September begins the season of birthing. Speak. Decree. Expect. And watch God move.
