Lucknow: 20 Kg Beef Seized From Thar in Hazratganj Parking, Owner Arrested

Police in Lucknow recovered 20 kg of suspected beef from a black Mahindra Thar parked at the multi-level parking in Hazratganj on September 2. The vehicle, without a registration number, belonged to Mohammad Wasif, who was present at the spot and arrested immediately.

Sub-inspector Shivani Singh led the operation. Police sealed the car, registered a case under the UP Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, and sent the seized meat for laboratory testing.

Officials said investigations are underway to determine whether Wasif was working alone or linked to a larger supply network.
