Canelo Explains Why His Fight With Terence Crawford is Different

In a recent interview with Ring Magazine, Canelo Alvarez explains how his upcoming fight with Terence Crawford is different. Canelo says, and I quote:

This fight against Terence Crawford is different. You can feel it right away. You know how big and important this is for my legacy-end quote. While certain American fighters and YouTube reporters talk about how legacy doesn't matter.

And they use dumb a** terms like, "I can't pay my bills with legacy." The richest boxer in the world is saying something totally different from the so-called Floyd Mayweather wannabe.

Fighters like Canelo and Crawford are cut from a different cloth. The social media boxing fans and new boxing media outlets don't understand that. They don't understand the historical aspects of the sport.

This is the clicks and views era of American boxing. This is the TMZ, and Tabloid era of American boxing. This is the sensationalism, sound bite, hyperbole, and clickbait era of American boxing.

Canelo is an anomaly. He became the richest boxer in the world, fighting legacy fights. Sure, not all of his fights were big names, but he has big names on his resume.
