🛫 Leg One: PMDG 737-700 Into the Nation’s Capital

Our night begins with the PMDG 737-700, a true workhorse of the skies. If you’re familiar with Microsoft Flight Simulator, you already know that PMDG’s 737 is a study-level aircraft, meaning everything from the FMC to the engine performance is simulated to an incredibly realistic degree. This isn’t just “press a button and fly” — it’s a full-on airliner experience.

We’ll be simulating Southwest Airlines operations as we make our way into Washington’s BWI Airport. Flying into the nation’s capital is always a special treat, with its busy airspace, interesting approaches, and the sense of grandeur as we descend into one of America’s most important regions.

Viewers can look forward to:

Realistic procedures: From cold & dark startup to taxi, takeoff, cruise, and landing, we’ll be following airline-style SOPs.

ATC comms: Depending on the night, we may interact with VATSIM controllers, adding even more immersion.

Navigation challenges: East Coast airspace is always a little spicier than most, and managing the descent into BWI will keep things interesting.

Cockpit banter: Serious aviation meets a healthy dose of humor.

This first flight sets the stage with structure and professionalism, but don’t worry — it won’t stay that way for long.
