Brits Try American Transparent Pie for the first time!

Today we’re heading to Kentucky 🇺🇸 (from our kitchen in the UK 🇬🇧) to make and taste the mysterious Transparent Pie for the very first time! 🥧✨

This frontier-era dessert has been around since the 1800s but is almost unknown outside of Kentucky. Some say it’s like a custard pie, others compare it to chess pie or even a pecan pie without the pecans… but what does it really taste like? And why is it called a transparent pie? 🤔
