Folks, I watched AEW Dynamite on September 3rd, and it was... not good. Let’s be honest.

Gabe Kidd opened the show yelling like a maniac, called out Darby Allin—who attacked him. Brawl happens, then the Death Riders show up, and THEN Hook, The Opps, and Willow Nightingale come out. I’ve seen this segment 900 times. No creativity. No story. Just filler.

Mercedes Moné vs. Alex Windsor for the TBS Title? Roll-up finish. Terrible match. Windsor looked like an absolute joke—tries to shake hands and gets shrugged off like a total clown. Then Riho returns! Yay! Who cares.

Mark Briscoe cut a promo. Calls out Don Callis Family. Out comes Don and says he’ll face KONOSUKE TAKESHITA—G1 Climax winner. Okay, kind of interesting. But Briscoe says “I want a match now” and he gets Lance Archer instead. Weird segment.

Briscoe vs. Archer? Fun match. Froggy Bow for the win. Good crowd reaction, I liked it.

Tag title match: Brodido (Bandido and Brody King—terrific names) vs. Death Riders. 24 Plex for the win. Fine match, nothing amazing.

Then we “hear” from Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Except we don’t. FTR attacks Copeland before he says a word, Christian runs in, we get a brawl, security fails. Standard AEW chaos.

Main event? Omega, Page, JetSpeed vs. Fletcher, Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks. SO many flips. So many moves that mean NOTHING. Brainbuster for the win. Crowd flat. Post-match attack. Seen it. Done.

This show had potential. But no payoff. No momentum. AEW better wake up.
