The “Global Resilience Flotilla,” another attempt to break the Israeli naval blockade of the Gaza Strip.
The flotilla set out from the port of Barcelona in Spain but was forced to temporarily return to port due to stormy weather. On September 1, 2025, about 20 vessels set sail again, today boats from Tunisia joined the flotilla. Organizers say the goal is to “break the Israeli blockade” and deliver humanitarian aid.

The participants include a variety of international activists, many of whom are outspoken anti-Israeli, including Greta Thunberg, who participated in the “Medellin” flotilla and was arrested and deported by the IDF.
