Funicular derails in Lisbon

At least 15 people were killed and about 20 were seriously injured when a funicular derailed in central Lisbon. The Gloria Funicular is considered one of Portugal's central tourist attractions.

According to local media, the cable car suddenly went out of control on the way down and crashed into a building at high speed. The cause has not yet been reported; emergency services are working at the scene.
