Love of the Wounded vs. Hate of the Whole | Book of Job Bible Study

A man with half his face blown away said to his shooter, “I still love you.” Scarred, homeless, and broken, yet his testimony is simple: trust God. This is the love of the wounded — forgiveness and faith in the face of pain.

By contrast, Job’s friends met his suffering not with compassion but with condemnation. Rather than comforting him, they hurled accusations and tried to explain his pain with empty religion.

This study draws a sharp line between the love of the wounded and the hate of the whole. When others suffer, do we condemn with religion, or comfort with love?
