HOMOSEXUALITY STUDY ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE
There are several verses in the Bible that say that gays or lesbians are not pleasing to God. Read Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9 these verses prove that God is not pleased with them.
QUESTION CAN THEY BE SAVED? YES, ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE, GOD WILL FORGIVE A HUSBAND AND SEXUAL PERSON who repents and turns from their deeds. Show the following that there is hope for forgiveness for all who repent and come to God:
- 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". All of this gives assurance of forgiveness for all sins, as long as there is repentance and confession.
- 1 Corinthians 6:9-11: Warns against immoral practices, but also mentions some believers who once did these things, but they were washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Jesus Christ. This shows that change is possible through faith in Christ.
- John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". All of this shows the universal love of God and the offer of salvation to all who believe, regardless of their gender or past life.
It is also important to remember that true repentance produces a change in life. If a person is truly repentant, their works will reflect their new life in Christ.
