Divya Deshmukh made the bold choice of playing in the open section of FIDE Grand Swiss 2025. In the first round her opponent was Grandmaster Abhimanyu Puranik - the same person who had helped her during the FIDE World Cup 2025. Divya played exciting chess right from the word go and Abhimanyu is not someone to back down from a fight.
