SCRIPTURES:

2 Corinthians 1:3~4:
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

Isaiah 40:1:
"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God."

John 16:7:
"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you."

Job 5:7:
"Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward."

James 1:2~
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."

Hebrews 12:11:
"Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."

COMMENTARY:

When God allows the consequences of our behavior to come upon us, He's not doing it out of tit for tat retribution. In other words, if someone struck you in the face and in your anger you struck them back, that is what we call retribution.

God allows consequences, call it punishment or correction or instruction or whatever you choose, but He always allows the consequences of our behavior, not arbitrarily, but in order to correct us. In other words, the motivation of the Lord is not simply punishment for punishment's sake. The Lord's motive is, as it always has been and always will be, His Love for us.

God is attempting to bring us to a place of Loving what He Loves, and hating what he hates (Yes I know Hey this is strong word but it is STILL in the Bible!). God Loves certain things and despises others Why? Because of how they affect the object of His affection, which is human beings. God knows if He allows your behavior to go unchecked, it will lead you to utter destruction.

Imagine what it would be like if there were no consequences to behavior. The nature of man would likely, at least in moat cases, cause us to cycle downward into a very dark place, while at the same time taking other people with us. We would give place to our human passions, the "Lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life" (1 John 2:16), until they consumed us. The lack of intervention would certainly not be representative of the Love of God.

So we are told not to despise the corrections of the Lord. Not because they're painless, we're enjoyable, but because afterwards they yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

Whatever you're going through right now, there is a plan and a purpose for it. Even if something has happened to you because of someone else's untoward behavior. You had nothing to do with it, and yet it came upon you. We may not always know why things happen the way they do. Demanding to understand often leads to an endless cycle of increasing bitterness and disappointment. One day you and I will have an answer. But until then, we must learn to rest in the assurance that He who spoke these words is faithful to perform them:

Romans 8:28:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Be at peace. Know that he is both righteous and loving, and if we humbly surrender to him, he will eventually bring us to the place of eternal peace and rest.

THANKS FOR WATCHING!!

Most people say: " well, my comfort would come if this trial would simply just end. "

And that is true. But what would simply avoiding trouble in crisis producing you? Most of the time, a life of unending ease and/or luxury simply produces in us a sense of false security, entitlement, and a lack of appreciation. I'm not saying that God does bad things to us to help us grow, but I guess the point is that difficulties are inevitable. Job said that. Man's days are full of trouble surely as a sparks fly upward. Jesus said the same thing,

In this world you will have tribulation but be a good cheer

Has the old song goes: " I beg your pardon, I never promised you a Rose Garden. Along with the sunshine there's got to be a little rain sometimes."

People cannot avoid hardship in this life. That comes when we go to heaven. Until then we're learning how to trust. How to surrender. How to love and obey, because truly there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust in obey.

The Bible is full of testimonies of men and women who went through trouble, both deserving and undeserving. James told us to consider Job, how he was quite unjustly forced into a place of unbelievable testing, and yet he came through it better than he was before

You see only God through his redemptive process, can make your life better than had you never gone through the trouble in the first place. Think about that statement. Without the trial you wind up this way. With the trial you actually wind up in a better place, a better version of yourself. If you submit to the process. That is both the grace and the redeeming quality of God's love for you. It is impossible but that trials will come. Absolutely impossible and unavoidable. But God's commitment to those he loved, and those who love him in return, as if he will take that with Satan meant for evil and turn it for good. True good.

That's a promise. And it's when he will never break.
