In this dev diary, I showcase the creation of a new 2D enemy character, the “BossBird.” I started with AI-generated art, cleaned it up in GIMP, and separated the parts for simple animations. Using animation events for the first time, I brought the character to life and then tested everything inside the new prologue scene build. The session is timelapsed from several hours of work, covering art, animation, and sound acquisition to round things out.
