Expectation of a reward and the practice of devotion do not co-exist. Devotion expresses itself in the form of service. No work done for the Lord is felt hard or tiresome. Joy increases along with the exertion for the glory of the Creator. As devotion waxes selfishness wanes. Devotion is its own reward.
