Would you train someone making more than you?

Video 558 Imagine teaching someone your job, and finding out they are being paid more than you to learn it. This happens all the time and it will cause you your best people, who won’t put up with your nonsense.
If you hire new people, you have a duty to bring your existing people up above their market rate before the new hires start. Job ads require salary bands, employees talking about salary at work is legally protected, and you will ruin your reputation as a manager and your companies reputation by not doing so.
