Part 53: What is IC3? | FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center & Online Fraud Reporting

Part 53 of the Justice DIY series explains what IC3 is and why it matters for fraud victims. IC3 — the Internet Crime Complaint Center — is a partnership between the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. It is the official federal gateway for reporting internet-based crimes, including cryptocurrency fraud, identity theft, impersonation scams, and pig-butchering schemes.

When victims file with IC3, their complaints enter a federal database used to track criminal networks and support FBI investigations. Even if a single case doesn’t lead to immediate action, multiple reports create patterns that allow law enforcement to connect the dots.

In my case, fraud tied to Intellisoft.rest, Intellisoft.one, and 15 cloned domains hosted on AWS and shielded by Cloudflare was reported to IC3, CYBERA, and the U.S. Secret Service. These filings prove victims followed every required step, even when the NYPD mishandled or ignored certified evidence.
