We live in a world that is constantly trying to shape who we are, it seeks to define us by status, performance, or even past failures, but the Gospel offers a radically different foundation—our identity in Christ. Sadly, much of the Church still preaches a performance-based Gospel, void of the truth of Sonship based on Jesus’ eternal performance at the Cross. There was nothing we could do, nothing in our efforts in becoming become a Son. As we grow in our identity will increase our capacity to govern!
