On September 5, 2025, around 2:10 p.m., chaos erupted at Kim Hưng Jewelry on Aborn Road. Multiple suspects — at least one armed — rammed a vehicle through the storefront, smashing their way inside.

They shattered display cases, grabbed jewelry, and fled in several vehicles. Surveillance shows a store employee fighting back before being shoved down and injured.

An 88-year-old relative of the owner, struck by glass in the mayhem, reportedly suffered a stroke. His condition has not been confirmed.

🔎 Status:

No arrests or suspect descriptions as of Sept 6.

Police are reviewing surveillance, but no raw footage has been released.

Outrage is growing, especially within San José’s Asian community, who say their businesses are being deliberately targeted.

This brazen daylight attack mirrors other jewelry heists across California. The case remains active and unresolved.
