Even within places of worship, the stigma persists, as some Christians may harbor dislike for the afflicted.

Witchcraft accusations are a somber reality in Zimbabwe, affecting families across various communities. Alarmingly, many church leaders are implicated in these practices, suggesting that Zimbabwe may not be a purely Christian nation, but rather one grappling with the influence of witchcraft.

The intersection of witchcraft and apostasy in Zimbabwe is believed by some to significantly contribute to the country’s ongoing economic crisis. The root of the issue may not be found in political salvation, but rather lies within the everyday actions and beliefs of ordinary people. Many who parade as affluent may be indulging in what is known as "witchcraft money"—wealth obtained through sinister sacrifices and dealings with demonic entities.

In this treacherous environment, it’s wise to remain vigilant. Trust becomes a rare commodity, even among relatives, as envy and malice can lead to harmful outcomes. Witchcraft is not merely a superstition; it's a pervasive issue that thrives in secrecy throughout Zimbabwe.

To combat these societal woes, we must promote values of hard work and integrity among the youth, rejecting the allure of witchcraft money and other illicit paths. Initiatives such as farming projects can provide tangible support for the impoverished, offering job opportunities and fostering self-sufficiency.
